The Inspire Group is encouraging its staff to take a "digital detox" this month as part of the next phase of its ongoing wellness programme.
Elements of the scheme include a "sacred hour" between 12-1pm when meetings can’t take place and throughout the month employees will be encouraged to take a break from their desks during the day.
Meetings will only run for 50 minutes and not an hour to ensure staff have at least ten minutes before their next meeting and one-to-one chats will be encouraged to be "walking meetings" to make sure team members take some time outside of the office during the day.
Meanwhile, a Go-Vida walking challenge will randomly allocate employees into groups to encourage team building and will involve a number of challenges and prizes.
Lisa Henning, managing director of The Inspire Group Europe, said: "Our team has responded really well to our wellness programme over the past year and embraced the many initiatives we have introduced.
"As we all know, we live in a constant digital world, and we are trying to encourage our team through August to take some time away from their computers and phones and take breaks outside."
