Ex-Downing Street press secretary Alastair Campbell is set to speak at TTG’s next mental health-focused seminar later this month.
The journalist and broadcaster is one of the UK’s most prominent mental health campaigners having written about and discussed his battle with depression extensively throughout his career.
During his session, Campbell will talk about his mental health journey, how it inspired his new book and assesses the goverment’s handling of the Covid crisis from a mental health and travel perspective.
Joining Campbell for Get Travel Talking: Stopping the stigma on 28 October will be bosses from Princess Cruises, Gold Medal/Travel 2 and G Adventures.
Tony Roberts, Lisa McAuley and Brian Young will take part in a panel discussing the personal and professional impact of leading their teams through the Covid crisis.
The results of TTG’s mental health survey – launched this week to assess how the pressures of the pandemic have affected those in travel – will also be analysed.
Abta LifeLine director Trudie Clements, HARP Wallen managing director, Kristina Wallen, and Encore Travel’s Matthew Griffiths will discuss the pressures facing travel professionals across the sector and how the industry can provide much needed support.
The seminar will take place on 28 October (2pm-4.40pm) and is open to TTG+ members. A full agenda can be found here.
