Altour UK launches sustainability platform
Will PayneInternova Travel Group’s corporate travel division Altour UK has launched a sustainability platform in partnership with Thrust Carbon to enable clients to purchase carbon offsets.
The company said it hopes to help "pave the way" for more sustainable solutions for its corporate clients who are concerned about reducing and tracking their carbon footprint.
Customers will have access to offsetting projects including forestry and conservation opportunities, emissions data to allow them to analyse their travel footprint and sustainability consultations.
Maria Baty, managing director of Altour UK, said the travel management company "must be accountable" when it comes to its contribution to the sustainability landscape.
"Sustainability is the word on everyone’s lips right now – but what matters most is action," she added.
"Equally, our clients need personal accountability for their own travel plans. Partnering with Thrust Carbon will enable our clients to take their sustainability strategies to the next level and provide a transparent account of how they can enact positive change within their businesses."
The partnership will be available as a subscription to all existing and new clients from January 2022.
