APT and Travelmarvel has appointed Sarah Turner as business development manager south as part of an ongoing recruitment drive to grow its trade sales and agency support team to its largest ever size.
Turner will start her new role at the river cruise, small ship and escorted touring operator on 19 December and cover the south of the UK in its entirety.
The luxury travel expert joins APT from Small Luxury Hotels of the World and also brings experience from her time as agency sales manager at Abercrombie and Kent, Cox and Kings, Railbookers and Amtrack Vacations.
Reporting into Brad Bennetts, APT and Travelmarvel’s head of sales and business development, Turner will be responsible for positioning the operator’s river cruises, Croatian yachting programme, expedition cruises, and tours for agents in her region.
Day-to-day she will build relationships with trade partners, identify new business opportunities, manage third-party retail accounts, and deliver training for agents in the south.
Bennetts said: "It is with great excitement that we announce Sarah’s appointment. She is the final piece in our dramatically scaled up sales team.
"This expanded resource, dedicated to supporting our trade partners, will enable us to help agents find greater sales success than ever before."
Turner will work alongside Robin Griffiths, BDM for central UK; Koral Lipton, BDM for northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland; and Becky Baumbach, who has taken on the newly created BDM role dedicated to homeworkers.
