Cruise specialist recruits experienced sales and reservations lead
James ChappleCruise specialist Light Blue Travel has recruited experienced sales lead Russell Fleming from HF Holidays to head up its sales and reservations team.
Fleming joins the Cambridge-based firm as reservations manager, reporting to commercial director UK and Europe, Michelle Daniels.
Tasked with streamlining and improving the company’s processes to maximise revenue, Fleming will also work on developing Light Blue’s CRM and booking system, as well as its sales training programmes.
Besides his recent experience at HF as customer success manager, Fleming brings learnings from spells with Kenwood Travel and Travelbag.
“Russell is a great addition to our team and brings 20-years’ experience in managing reservation teams and implementing industry best practice to optimise performance and customer satisfaction," said Daniels.
Fleming said his new role would allow him to develop operational strategies that would "contribute to the future success and growth of the company".
Light Blue Travel acts as UK and Europe representative for American Queen Voyages, and is also general sales agent for German operator Nicko Cruises.
