Cunard has postponed Queen Anne’s maiden voyage by five months due to energy shortages and global supply chain constraints.
The vessel, which was due to depart on its inaugural sailing in January 2024, will now sail from Southampton to Lisbon on 3 May 2024.
A spokesperson for the line said: "Due in part to unforeseen events that have occurred in recent years, the shipbuilding industry, like other industries, has faced numerous challenges including energy shortages and global supply chain constraints.
"We have automatically transferred guests booked or waitlisted on the maiden voyage to the new seven-night maiden voyage."
The vessel will now call at La Coruna on 5 May 2024, Lisbon on 7 May, and then return to Southampton on 10 May.
Queen Anne’s new maiden season will include sailings from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, the Canary Islands, and the Norwegian fjords.
The voyages will go on sale on 6 December 2022 for Cunard World Club members and on general sale on 7 December 2022.
