Cunard has reintroduced a regional sales team for the first time since 2020 and hired two field-based sales managers to boost support for agents.
The line has brought in partnership development managers Savannah Fryer, who will cover the north of the UK, and John Garbutt who takes responsibility for the south.
Both Fryer and Garbutt join Cunard from within Carnival UK and will report into the line’s business manager James Scott from 19 June.
The pair will be responsible for developing relationships with new and existing agent partners, as well as offering training, marketing and sales support.
Their appointments grows Cunard’s trade team to 13 staff across operations, partnerships and business development and comes ahead of a 40% increase in fleet capacity with the arrival of Queen Anne in 2024.
Tom Mahoney, Cunard’s UK sales director, said the team expansion would help the line “provide a more tailored, personalised service” for its agent partners with “dedicated regional support”.
“We have listened, and our new approach reflects the feedback we have been receiving," said Mahoney. "The new field-based team will enhance training and engagement support with our existing partners, while also expanding our distribution to reach new agents who are looking to partner with us.
"Savannah and John join us at an incredibly exciting time, as our trade resources go from strength-to-strength, and we prepare for the imminent arrival of Queen Anne, the fourth spectacular Queen to join our fleet."
