At least 20 people have been killed in Fiji after Cyclone Winston hit the island chain over the weekend.
The category-five storm was the biggest ever in the southern hemisphere and brought winds of more than 200mph, torrential rain and waves of up to 12 metres, the BBC reported.
Rescue workers have said the death toll is likely to rise and the government has declared a state of emergency.
Fiji’s tourism minister Faiyaz Siddiq Koya said: "all visitors are safe and comfortable".
The UK Foreign Office said: "There are no reports of significant structural damage to the majority of hotels in Viti Levu, except in some localised areas.
"British nationals should follow the advice of local authorities and monitor weather reports closely."
