EasyJet will reveal results for the first three months of its financial year on Tuesday; figures that are expected to show continued tough trading.
The carrier will report trading for October, November and December. The latest figures are expected to confirm continued pressure due to currency movements, terrorism and increased fuel prices.
The airline made £686 million before tax in 2014/15, but this fell to £495 million in 2015/16, a fall of 28% and the first drop since 2009. The poorer performance was blamed on terrorist attacks and the drop in the value of sterling.
