Emirates has doubled its services from Gatwick after the airline saw a "considerable" uptick in demand for international travel in recent weeks.
From Tuesday (8 February), the airline will offer double daily flights as since the start of the year, UK bookings from the London airport alone have more than doubled.
The increase in services follows the quick restart of operations to the airline’s hubs across the UK in response to the lifting of international travel restrictions around the world.
The additional service will land at Gatwick at 6:25pm on Tuesday (8 February) and return flight EK010 will depart at 8:25pm, arriving in Dubai on Wednesday (9 February) at 7:20am.
The introduction of the new route takes Emirates’ total UK weekly flights to 91.
Richard Jewsbury, divisional vice president of Emirates UK, said the carrier has seen a "considerable uptick" in demand for international travel in recent weeks, particularly from the South East.
"Emirates is fully committed to the UK and we have operated flights from the airport for over 30 years, providing vital connectivity to Dubai and across our international network for passengers travelling for business, leisure or to visit loved ones," he added.
"The route has also carried billions of pounds worth of cargo into and out of the region - supporting UK businesses of all shapes and sizes."
