Expedition cruise specialist Polar Routes saw its best-ever July for sales in its seven year history last month.
Last month the company saw a 110% year-on-year increase in sales, with average booking values increasing by 11% and enquiries up 181% compared with July 2022.
Martin Johnson, director and co-founder of Polar Routes, said: "July and August are usually quiet months for interest in and bookings to the polar regions, but the autumnal weather in wash-out July has turned out to be a record-breaker for us."
It comes after Polar Routes, which is a member of the Expedition Cruise Network (ECN), launched the sale of its exclusively chartered Ultimate Antarctic Expedition in May onboard Polar Pioneer.
From 19-20 September TTG will host the first-ever ECN Virtual Conference, which will see expedition cruise suppliers come together for two mornings of themed panel discussions and in-depth agent training.
