Explora Journeys postpones Explora I's delivery ceremony
Will PayneExplora Journeys has postponed the delivery ceremony for upcoming vessel Explora I.
The move comes after shipbuilder Fincantieri and the cruise division of the MSC Group agreed to make further enhancements to the final work of the vessel, which is set to become the new luxury brand’s first ship.
The line said the time required for the work will extend the vessel’s stay at the shipyard by a few weeks.
As a result, Explora has postponed the delivery ceremony which was scheduled for 6 July in Monfalcone to a later date.
A spokesperson for the line said: "We are extremely sorry for this circumstance, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. The new date for the delivery ceremony will be communicated as soon as possible."
