Explore set to return to Tunisia after long absence

A nine-night Best of Tunisia tour has been introduced for 2024, with departures from March to September.

The tour includes the ancient city of Carthage near Tunis, plus Sidi Bou Said, the Troglodyte rock dwellings of Matmata – where Star Wars was filmed - and an overnight in a Bedouin-style desert camp.

Explore managing director Michael Edwards said: “Tunisia is a destination that we are repeatedly asked about. It’s ideal for those with a keen interest in the Roman Empire and Arab/ Ottoman history.”

The 10-day trip costs from £1,495pp excluding flights and includes all accommodation, breakfast and some meals, local transport and the services of a tour leader.
