The Foreign Office is recommending travellers stay away from central Ankara in the wake of Saturday’s bomb attack which killed at least 97 peace protestors.
The twin explosions, which injured more than 180 people, have been blamed by Turkish authorities on Isis, although no group has laid claim to attack.
The advice, which was updated on Saturday also urges travellers to restrict their movements in the city where the situation remains tense.
The advice joins previous advice for visitors to the country who are also urged to steer clear of any demonstrations or large gatherings while the local authorities should also be obeyed.
Another problem for Turkey although it should be noted Ankara is far from the country’s beaches and is not a mainstay of the country’s tourism offering
