Finalists in the coveted Travel Industry Awards 2023 by TTG have been revealed, with more than 100 travel brands companies and almost 50 individual travel agents earning a place on the shortlist.
There was particular success for Intrepid Travel and easyJet holidays, both shortlisted in four categories, and for cruise lines P&O Cruises and Royal Caribbean International, both shortlisted in three categories apiece.
New for 2023 was the Expedition Cruise Line of the Year category, in which seven companies made the cut.
The six travel agent categories saw no fewer than nine Hays Travel consultants make the shortlist, along with three different members of the team from arrangeMY escape in Worcester.
In the 10 trade-facing supplier categories, finalists will now undergo a round of agent rating, in which TTG’s travel agent audience will rate companies they have booked in the last year based on service and product. Panels of travel agent judges will meet in early July to assess suppliers’ written submissions alongside ratings in order to choose the winners during judging sessions in early July.
In all other categories, the next stage will see panels of expert judges meet in July to consider written submissions and decide the winners.
Finalists in all of the agent categories, and several other categories, will also give live presentations on video-call to our panel.
The 2023 awards – in association with Gold Medal, Pure Luxury, Cruise Plus and Incredible Journeys – marks the third year of TTG’s new-style awards programme, which champions smarter, better, fairer travel in line with TTG Media’s mission.
“The quality and variety of submissions for this year’s Travel Industry Awards by TTG is a real testament to the innovation, dedication and business performance of the UK and Irish travel sector over the last 12 months,” said Daniel Pearce, chief executive, TTG Media.
“What’s particularly exciting is the extent to which so many travel suppliers and travel agents are now aligning with TTG Media’s own mission to work towards a smarter, better, fairer travel industry – for customers, for colleagues, and for the places and communities to which we travel – and we look forward to celebrating them in spectacular style on 28 September.”
Tickets are now on sale, with three different ticket packages including premium tables of 10 (with priority position closer to the entertainment, and 5 additional bottles of wine or alternative premium non-alcoholic drinks), standard tables of 10, and individual tickets.
