The first passenger to be banned for life by Flybe following an air rage incident has been given a suspended prison sentence after a drunken outburst.
Passenger Lance Wheelwright shoved a cabin crew member during the flight from Amsterdam to Manchester after she gave him and two friends a can of Stella each, instead of the eight he demanded; The Manchester Evening News reported.
A court in Manchester heard he then racially abused an Australian passenger who tried to intervene and threatened to kill another crew member.
Wheelwright pleaded guilty to assault, threatening behaviour and racially aggravated threatening behaviour. He was ordered to pay £500 to each of the three victims as part of his sentence.
