The French government is reportedly considering a move to ease strict travel restrictions imposed on arrivals from the UK.
Currently, travellers are only allowed to enter or leave France for "compelling" reasons, including nationals or residents returning home, urgent family matters and essential work.
But Gabriel Attal, a government spokesperson, reportedly told The Telegraph that the country would make it a "bit easier" to travel to and from the UK by widening the list of valid reasons to do so.
It is believed the restrictions will initially be eased for business travel with a further announcement expected next week, which could include holidaymakers.
The ban on UK travellers was introduced on 18 December amid a surge in cases of the Omicron variant.
