G Adventures will restart small-group tours to Japan next month after the country’s government further eased its Covid-19 entry restrictions.
Earlier this month, Japan increased its daily arrivals cap to 50,000 and allowed travellers from all countries to enter on a package tour without a guide.
As a result, G Adventures will reintroduce 12 tours from October, offering travellers the chance to explore Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka as well as lesser-visited regions.
"The relaxation of entry restrictions has been eagerly awaited by G Adventures, our travellers and the local communities we work with in Japan, who have been keen to welcome back tourism as soon as possible," said Julie FitzGerald, general manager for Asia at G Adventures.
"October is a fantastic time for us to restart our trips, with ‘Aki’ (Autumn) being one of the most beautiful times to visit with temperatures ideal for exploring."
The operator offers an 11-day Back Roads of Japan tour, which includes two nights in Kyoto with a visit to the Fushimi Inari Shrine and starts from £2,849pp.
