Trade-only operators Gold Medal and Travel 2 have waived their cancellation and amendment charges across their entire package holiday programmes.
The move, which takes effect immediately, means agents booking new packages during March with either operator will be able to amend or cancel the holiday at no charge.
Customers can amend a trip at any time without incurring charges from Gold Medal or Travel 2; they will only have to pay any fare difference with the airline and/or hotel, if applicable.
Cancellation fees are being waived if a customer has to cancel a holiday “in the constantly changing current climate”.
Lisa McAuley, managing director of Gold Medal and Travel 2, explained: “We understand that with evolving travel advice many of our agents will have customers who are hesitant to plan or confirm a new holiday right now.
“Our new policy is designed to provide agents with the much-needed flexibility to reassure their customers that there is the option to change and amend their booking if required.”
The two operators will also be releasing a new holiday deal every day from across their worldwide portfolio on each brand’s Facebook page. These deals will include savings and free upgrades for customers, as well as double Farebank Rewards or T2 Rewards for agents.
“We are confident that our new daily deals will support agents with encouraging their customers to keep travelling,” added McAuley.
