Holland America Line will make its maiden calls in Greenland as part of a new 28-day cruise to the Arctic Circle onboard Nieuw Statendam in 2025.
Departing 29 June 2025 from Rotterdam, its Arctic Circle Crossing: Greenland and Iceland itinerary cruise will call at 15 ports across five countries.
These include Nuuk, Ittoqqortoormiit, Sisimiut and Ilulissat in Greenland, as well as Iceland’s Reykjavik and Norway’s Tromso before heading back to the Netherlands via Stornoway, Inverness and Dover.
The line said early-bird bookings would open on Thursday (24 August) with prices from $6,399 (£5,019) per person including shore excursions, specialty dining, prepaid crew gratuities and free upgrades to premium WiFi.
“At 28 days, it’s the perfect length to showcase this area and give our guests an experience that goes beyond a brief introduction to the countries,” said HAL chief commercial officer Beth Bodensteiner.
Arctic Circle: Greenland and Iceland is part of Holland America’s Legendary Voyage range, which offers in-depth exploration journeys of up to 60 days, giving customers the opportunity to focus on a specific region.
"Legendary Voyages give us the opportunity to create longer cruises that delve deeper into a region and include ports we don’t normally visit,” Bodnsteiner added.
