Virgin Voyages has added 19 new ports and 27 new itineraries to its schedule, including a series of new voyages from Portsmouth.
Available through April 2025, the new offerings feature a return to the UK following strong consumer demand, new ports of call in Australia and new stops in the Caribbean.
Virgin Voyages’ fleet will now offer a total of 63 itineraries, including a new Seachange Series range, which features repositioning voyages for travellers to extend their holidays.
After returning from its inaugural season in Australia, Resilient Lady will sail three itineraries from its homeport in Athens from May through July 2024.
Itineraries include Greek Island Glow to the islands of Santorini and Mykonos; Adriatic Sea and Greek Gems, sailing along Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast before stopping in Kotor and Corfu; and Starry Nights in Greece and Croatia, which offers a mix of the other two seven-night itineraries.
The vessel will also offer a series of three- to six-night sailings, starting in mid-August 2024 and running through September. Highlights include English Sights and European Delights, which docks in Le Verdon, La Coruna and Bilbao.
Resilient’s European schedule also includes two repositioning voyages from Portsmouth to Barcelona, adding Morocco to the brand’s roster of new destinations.
The ship will also set off on a 44-night repositioning from Athens to Australia in October 2024, making stops in destinations such as Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore, and Bali.
Meanwhile, to start its 2023 winter season, Valiant Lady will return from Barcelona on 29 October and begin its itineraries from Miami such as the Eastern Caribbean Antilles and Western Caribbean Charm sailings.
From January through March 2024, it will operate out of San Juan offering two southern Caribbean voyages originally scheduled for Brilliant Lady including The Southeastern Caribbean Isles and Sunsets in the Lesser Antilles.
With Scarlet Lady heading into dry dock next year, sister ship Valiant will trade places starting in April 2024. Departing from Miami, Valiant will continue to offer Scarlet’s four- and five-night Caribbean rotations.
Next summer between May and October 2024, Scarlet will head to the Mediterranean, taking on Valiant’s two seven-night itineraries: Irresistible Med and French Daze and Ibiza Nights.
Scarlet will then embark on an 11-night repositioning voyage from Barcelona to Civitavecchia, stopping in Mallorca, Corsica, and Sardinia. After a short period in dry dock for general maintenance, Scarlet will sail a 16-night transatlantic voyage from Rome to Miami.
"In the last year alone, our repeat sailor [customers] rates have tripled," said Shane Riley, vice-president of international sales. "What’s even better is these loyal travellers want more – so we’ve listened.
"Be it sailing the sunny Mediterranean, exploring the southern waters of Australia, New Zealand, and Bali, or experiencing the English coastline, we are proud to offer more than 120 places to explore."
The line also confirmed the launch of its fourth ship, Brilliant Lady, has been delayed due to "unexpected" construction, supply chain and staffing challenges.
