The business travel division of the Internova Travel Group, Altour UK, will look to increase its presence in Scotland after it joined the Scottish Passenger Agents’ Association (SPAA) and created three new full-time jobs in the country.
The move follows the brand’s 2021 merger with sister company Barrhead Business Travel – Barrhead Travel’s former standalone corporate travel division.
Over the last two years, the Scottish team has been working on a gradual brand transition and will now be known as Altour Scotland.
Three full-time consultants have been added to the team as the business grows, thanks to the brand’s ongoing recovery from the pandemic driven by continued client bookings.
The firm’s spend and transactions doubled in the last 12 months, with the group expecting to outperform 2019 levels by the end of 2023
Maria Baty, managing director of Altour UK, said: "Following our merger with Barrhead Business Travel, we always planned to initiate an expansion plan north of the border.
"Our Scottish team have excellent relations with their clients, having nurtured their accounts for many years, and their stellar reputation will stand us in great stead."
