Yangon, the capital of Myanmar, is to welcome a new “lifestyle” hotel next month with the opening of Hotel G Yangon.
The design-orientated property will have 85 rooms when it makes its debut on September 7 in Yangon’s Yaw Min Gyi entertainment district.
The hotel will be managed by GCP Hospitality, which already operates Hotels G in Singapore, Bangkok, Pattaya, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and San Francisco. Further openings are scheduled for Beijing, Seoul and Perth.
The new Yangon property will also feature a signature all-day restaurant and bar, Babett Eatery & Bar, as well as a fitness centre.
The hotel will have four room categories - Good, Great, Greater and Greatest – which have all been designed to feature coloured walls and modern artworks.
General manager Othmane Amrani said: “The time is right for the city’s first lifestyle hotel, where like-minded international travellers and local residents can find a trendy space to work, relax, play and collaborate.
“There has never been a more exciting time to be in Yangon and every week we are seeing a new edgy gallery, shop or restaurant pop up in the neighbourhood around us.”
