The Inspire Group has given its staff two additional hours off a day throughout September in a bid to help them improve on their sleep and general mental wellbeing.
The move comes as part of a new wellbeing programme designed to support staff and agents, which also includes a "wellbeing calendar" to raise awareness of a specific topic each month.
September’s theme – sleep – was introduced to recognise the impacts of excess stress and how it can lead to sleep problems, which in turn can impact overall wellbeing and performance.
To support the topic, Inspire will give its employees one hour back in the morning and one in the evening to allow for more rest. It is also providing a sleep care package to every employee and making resources available to help staff and agents improve their sleep.
Lisa Henning, managing director of The Inspire Group Europe, said the health and wellbeing of the group’s employees is "key to our success".
"With the new programme we are taking a company-wide approach to ensure the best possible support is available to all members of the Inspire family that focuses on their physical, mental and financial wellbeing," she added.
The business has also brought in the services of a financial adviser to provide support and guidance to all Inspire employees, as they face the headwinds of the cost-of-living crisis.
"We recognise the impact that the current rising cost-of-living is having on our employees, and we are keen to support them," Henning continued.
Employees also have access to a wellness platform, which can be used to promote both physical and mental health, and are rewarded with points which can be converted into vouchers or half a day off.
Meanwhile, mental health first aiders have been appointed to offer further support to staff and agents; to identify early warning signs; spot workplace triggers; signpost employees and to help champion the wellbeing programme. From October, the company will host face-to-face mental health workshops.
