Inspire Group has put sustainability at the forefront by launching a new website and booking platform for greener holidays.
The Cheshire-based tour operator announced on Monday (26 June) the launch of its new website, Sustainable Travel by Inspire, which gives customers up to 5,000 hotels to choose from.
All hotels and tour operators present on the website adhere to the standards set by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, the international body for sustainable tourism certifications.
The website also allows customers to offset their carbon footprint as well as giving hints on how to travel more sustainably.
“We have invested into developing this website where the only content that’s featured is endorsed by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, and a rigorous process has been gone through to ensure that all the products on the website are eco-friendly,” said managing director Lisa Henning.
“Creating this website has been our first major step in this important area, but over time we intend to further develop it with an abundance of content, testimonials and stories on how we can all be more eco- and environmentally aware when travelling.”
To put sustainability at the core of its business, Inspire has also developed a sustainable gift card, which allows customers to book more conscious holidays.
“The Inspire Sustainable Travel Gift Card is a great way for companies to support their own environmental strategies, in so much that they know that their employees can only use them against sustainable travel options,” added the managing director.
