Intrepid Travel has expanded its portfolio of tours to Australia ahead of the destination reopening its borders to fully vaccinated travellers on 21 February.
More than half of the news trips will feature ’first nations’ experiences as the brand aims to "deepen its commitment" to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The new tours also include active and wellness itineraries, as well as trips that highlight local food and wine.
A nine-day Premium Kimberley & Bungle Bungles tour starts from £5,595pp and a five-day Trek the Larapinta Trail itinerary comes in at £1,350pp.
Meanwhile, a five-day Margaret River and Albany Adventure trip costs £1,005pp and the six-day Red Centre Explorer tour, which includes a walk and talk to discover the bush tuckers and bush medicines used for healing purposes, comes in at £1,400pp.
Zina Bencheikh, managing director EMEA, said the operator’s new trips "delve deeper" into Australia and its "diverse cultures".
"It’s wonderful news that Australia will be reopening its borders to vaccinated travellers from February 21," she added.
"Australia is home to the oldest continuing culture in the world. Our First Nations experiences give visitors an amazing opportunity to learn about cultural traditions that have been passed down through the generations for thousands of years."
