The Institute of Travel & Tourism has revealed Sorrento, Italy as the location for next year’s conference.
Former chancellor George Osborne has also been unveiled as the keynote speaker for the event, which will take place between June 12-14.
ITT chairman Steven Freudmann said there would be a number of other “big names” speaking at the conference, to be announced over the next few weeks.
The 2017 conference will take place at the Hilton Sorrento Palace, with Freudmann adding that the ITT would “take over the whole of the hotel for its duration”.
“Sorrento is one of the iconic resorts of Europe – the hospitality the Italians will offer will be special,” he
told TTG. “It will be a brilliant conference and it takes just two and a half hours to fly to Naples, 45 minutes from Sorrento.”
The location was revealed at the ITT’s 60th Anniversary Party on Wednesday night.
The event was attended by the Italian ambassador, who personally invited members of the Institute to attend next year’s conference.
Freudmann also announced that TTG Media had been chosen to continue as the ITT’s media partner for a further three years.
