Jet2.com and Jet2holidays has added 7,000 seats to the Canary Islands for the remainder of this month, citing strong demand.
As well as additional flights to Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria, there are also more departures to Dalaman in October, targeting half-term.
The capacity increase is spread across Belfast International, Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds Bradford, Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle airports.
Jet2 said: “Following the easing of travel restrictions for customers travelling from England and Northern Ireland, customers have been flocking to book holidays, with the Canary Islands and Turkey proving to be amongst the most popular destinations.”
Steve Heapy, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays chief executive, added: “The easing of travel restrictions has given people the confidence to plan and look forward to their holidays and this has resulted in phenomenal demand for October breaks.
“As always, we have been quick to respond to demand by adding additional flights to the Canary Islands and Turkey, offering customers and independent travel agents even more opportunity to enjoy some sunshine.”
The additions mean Manchester airport will offer up to 18 weekly services in October and up to 10 a week to Dalaman, while Stansted will have up to 13 flights a week to Tenerife this month.
