Jet2holidays has confirmed its free resort flight check-in service will return in late-April just in time for the summer season.
Halted in March 2020 due to the pandemic, the service will initially resume at 50 hotels in Cyprus; it allows travellers to leave their bags at their hotel on their day of departure – Jet2 staff then take the luggage to the airport and stow it on their aircraft at no extra cost.
Chief executive Steve Heapy said Jet had been “inundated” with requests from customers and agents to bring back free resort flight check-in.
“We know the return of the service will be a huge hit with customers and independent travel agents, as we know the enormous difference that this smart, secure service makes to the overall holiday experience,” said Heapy.
“This is the type of investment in customer experience that makes Jet2holidays so popular with our customers, and we are thrilled to be finally revealing its much-anticipated return.”
