Jet2holidays has rebranded and relaunched its overseas fam trip programme to help travel agents boost their sales by developing their product and destination knowledge.
The new Destination Discoveries programme will replace the tour operator’s existing fam trip programme and has been developed after a travel agent consultation.
Jet2holidays said data showed agents who attended trips to specific destinations would generally see “a significant improvement” in sales to that destination.
Destination Discoveries trips will offer agents “product and destination insight”, said the airline and operator.
It added there were several Destination Discoveries set to take place between now and the end of 2023, including to Iberostar Selection Albufera Playa in Majorca, the Regnum Carya in Belek, Antalya, and the Melia Paradius in Lanzarote.
The 2024 programme of Destination Discoveries will be announced soon, Jet2holidays said.
Alan Cross, travel agent relationships director at Jet2holidays, said: “Today’s announcement demonstrates our continued commitment to investing in our ’Partners2Success’ approach to drive even more mutual success and growth.
“As well as strengthening relationships with independent travel agents and homeworkers, our new look Destination Discoveries are the perfect way to build product and destination knowledge, whilst showcasing everything that goes into the award-winning Jet2holidays VIP customer experience.”
Cross added: “We know what an impact overseas trips have when it comes to driving sales and we know that the launch of Destination Discoveries will give independent travel agents and homeworkers an even bigger boost.”
