Kerry Williams to lead Travel Counsellors' onboarding programme
Will PayneTravel Counsellors has appointed former Barrhead Travel store manager Kerry Williams as its new learning and development coach to support its onboarding strategy for its new recruits.
Williams brings with her more than 25 years’ experience in travel, having previously held roles with Thomas Cook and ITC.
She most recently served as a branch manager for Barrhead Travel, where she opened and managed a new shop in January 2020.
In her new role, Williams will support Travel Counsellors’ Travel Academy programme, which delivers training from accredited travel professionals to place new recruits on the path to a career as a work-from-home agent.
Travel Counsellors predicts it will take on a record number of new recruits this year, having already seen a 122% year-on-year increase in enquiries from people wanting to join.
Williams said: "I am thrilled to be joining such a fast-growing and innovative company, and look forward to using my travel industry experience to welcome and expertly manage new Travel Counsellors coming through the Academy."
