Melanie Thom to join Flexible Autos as sales director
Ilaria Grasso MacolaTrade-only car hire specialist Flexible Autos has named Melanie Thom as its new sales director.
Thom will link up with the firm next month, bringing more than 20 years’ travel industry and car rental experience. She joins Flexible from DriveAway and Auto Europe.
"We are delighted to welcome Melanie to the Flexible Autos family,” said Flexible Autos owner and founder Sue Dixon. “Her wealth of experience and innovative approach align perfectly with our vision for the future."
Dixon added: “Mel brings her extensive knowledge and strong trade partnerships, which will become pivotal in driving our sales efforts to new heights."
Posting to LinkedIn, Thom said: "It’s been on hell of a 20-year ride in which I’ve travelled the world, worked with a bunch of amazing people and made many life-long friends."
She continued: "A big shout out to the Sydney office, who 20 years ago made a quiet and shy Pommie feel like part of the family. Also a special mention to Munich – from this office I come away with great friends.
"I’ll be taking a few weeks R&R [but] the UK travel trade is where my heart is and I’ll be back soon."
