Oceania Cruises has appointed NCL’s James Scott its new business development manager UK and Ireland.
Scott will report to senior director of sales UK and Ireland Priti Mehta, and will be responsible for working with the trade – particularly independent agents – to increase Oceania’s upper-premium business with new and existing partners.
Scott, who brings five years’ cruise industry experience to the role and is a current TTG 30 Under 30 member, said he felt there was a “huge opportunity” in the upper-premium cruise market for agents.
“I am thrilled to be taking on a new challenge and cannot wait to start working with those travel partners who know the product well, and introducing it to those who do not,” he said.
Mehta said she was "delighted" to welcome Scott to the Oceania team, describing how he was joining at "a very exciting time" with the line’s ongoing OceaniaNext fleet refurbishment programme and the building of two new Allura-class ships.
"There is plenty of opportunity for travel partners to increase their upscale cruise business," she added.
