Tour operator Neilson is cutting its Turkey programme for summer 2016 because of reduced demand from UK holidaymakers.
Previously the active holiday specialist had operated four beach clubs in the country but will now only offer two: Phokaia Beachclub in Foca and Seaside Beachclub in Ortakent.
Andriake Beachclub in Demre, Adakoy Beachclub close to Marmaris will no longer feature.
The small yacht fleet based at Adakoy, has also been removed from the tour operator’s 2016 summer programme.
Customers affected are being offered alternative holidays or the opportunity to cancel without penalty.
Richard Bowden-Doyle, chief executive of Neilson said: “Whilst Turkey remains a popular destination for UK holidaymakers, in common with other travel companies, we have seen lower demand this year.
“Our holidays are at their best when the clubs are busy with guests enjoying the full range of activities on offer, so where we have seen fewer bookings we have acted quickly to ensure our guests will get the holiday experience they expect.
“We will now concentrate our activities this year into our longer standing Turkey clubs, Phokaia and Seaside, which have particularly loyal followings, alongside our six Greek clubs and our Greek yacht fleet, which continue to be extremely popular.
“We are sorry for the disruption to our customers’ holiday arrangements but are hopeful that they will rebook with us at another Neilson club.”
Neilson’s move comes after cuts from a number of other established tour operators.
Mark Warner cancelled its programme at the Sea Garden Beach Resort in Bodrum and Thomas Cook has cut capacity to the country by just under a third.
