Doors2Manual, a new travel agency born out of the Covid-19 pandemic by cabin crew, has officially opened.
During periods of lockdown since March 2020, a group of members of cabin crew support hub Not Just Crew decided to launch Doors2Manual as a travel concierge service.
The firm, which officially launched as an agency on Monday (15 November), offers first-hand experience and advice for overseas holidaymakers looking to travel on short or long-haul trips.
Doors2Manual has joined the Hays Travel Independence Group, which means staff have access to all available product from a range of operators and all bookings are Atol-protected.
Natasha Marson, head of Hays Travel Independence Group, said she was "excited" by the new agency’s ideas and "unique" crew culture.
"We are thrilled to be able to support this team to build their business in a pandemic, with full sales support from business development manager Helen Williamson and our internal Sunderland-based teams," she added.
The Doors2Manual team are available via phone, video call, email or through their website. The company also plans to hire more staff in the coming weeks.
Sally Henry, from Doors2Manual, said the company’s "passion and love" for travel resonates "strongly".
"I am really excited to have joined the Doors2Manual senior leadership team to help with launch and strategy," she continued.
"This is the first time airline crew have come together in such a way to share their vast travel knowledge gained from years and years of flying experience."
