Royal Caribbean has announced two new appointments this week, with a new key account manager and regional sales manager joining its team.
Guy Farrow joins as key account manager, previously working at equipment pooling business, Chep as an account manager.
Farrow will report into Amanda Darrington, sales director for UK and Ireland, and will be responsible for a number of key agents across the country, dividing his time between the office and being out on the road.
Farrow’s appointment will complete the key account management team at Royal Caribbean.
Amanda Darrington, sales director for UK & Ireland, said: “Guy brings with him a unique insight from outside the travel industry in personalised account management that will help identify the strengths of each individual business. His management and sales experience will make him a valuable team member in addition to the passion he has shown for the industry.”
Elsewhere, Sophie West has been appointed as Royal’s new regional sales manager, having previously worked in national and regional sales for Burton’s Biscuit Company.
West will report into Sarah Weetman, head of retail for UK and Ireland, and will be responsible for covering the Midlands territory from Sheffield to Leicester and across Lincolnshire.
Sarah Weetman, head of retail for UK & Ireland, said: “West brings with her five years’ of strong field experience in the world of FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) and has shown a great enthusiasm at the prospect of tackling the challenge of a new industry.”
