Bubble travel, "workcations", indulgent getaways and a new breed of sustainably-conscious traveller will "spark new life into travel", according Amadeus.
Clare De Bono, head of prime customer and traveller solutions for the travel technology company, said the trends show "clear indications of what hope might lie in store" for the future of global travel.
Bubble travel allows open travel corridors between nations, such as Australia and New Zealand.
Hotels are also reportedly promoting themselves as bubble resorts, allowing guests to travel together in groups as long as they have a negative Covid test.
Speaking at the 2021 ITT Conference onboard MSC Virtuosa on Sunday (12 September), De Bono reported a 66% increase in searches from around the world for two-week trips to the Maldives compared to the same period in 2019.
Amadeus also saw a 41% increase in the number of searches for 30-day stays in a variety of regions - highlighting a possible rise in "workcations" where people work for UK companies from abroad.
A "renewed thirst" for travel has also reportedly led to an increase in "indulgent travel" - where consumers fork-out for a "bucket-list" trip following an 18-month hiatus from overseas travel.
The final trend identified by Amadeus was the rise in demand for sustainable travel, with travellers researching the safety and environmental implications of their journeys 27% earlier than before.
De Bono said: "As we look to rebuild travel and connect people around the world again, we see that some people are feeling indulgent and others are looking for more sustainable options.
"We are definitely not going to head back into the office as the same way as before, but maybe that’s going to create a more global and connected work from anywhere workforce, and as vaccine distribution speeds up around the world, those bubbles will expand."
