Not Just Travel is offering its consultants and franchisees more than 800 opportunities to take part in overseas trips this year, an increase of a third on last year’s 600-plus places.
The business’s 2024 programme includes overseas training retreats in Fuerteventura, Mauritius and the Maldives, as well as two "seminar at sea" cruises, charity treks and other experiences.
It is currently hosting a five-day "millionaire’s retreat" in Fuerteventura over 12-16 March in partnership with Tui Magic Life Club – the first overseas trip for new "Elite" Not Just Travel franchisees.
A further three seven-day Elite training trips for up to 30 invited agents will follow this year as part of Not Just Travel’s focus on growing luxury sales.
One of these Elite experiences will be hosted in partnership with Not Just Travel key trade partner and Mauritius specialist Beachcomber Tours, which will feature one-to-one agent mentoring.
“Our Elite trips are not only luxurious, money-can’t-buy experiences, they also serve to catapult an agent’s business to the next level,” said Not Just Travel co-founder Paul Harrison.
"Although we garner support from operators, we continue to invest heavily in these trips because they generate the highest return on investment. These are not simply educational trips that you might see from other operators. We invest more in coaching and business development, in classroom time and experiences to help our consultants grow their businesses.
"Operators who have supported us have seen significant increases in sales from the hundreds of participating consultants, which is why so many want to repeat the experiences," Harrison adds.
NJT will also be hosting a specialist golf-focused trip to Mauritius later this year too.
Elsewhere, agents who opt into NJT’s Cruise Mastery programme will have the chance to join one of two seminar at sea cruises this year, which feature an intense programme of cruise training.
The first, in May, will be a five-day ex-Southampton sailing onboard Princess Cruises’s Sky Princess to Scandinavia. The second will take place onboard Virgin Voyages’s Scarlet Lady in June sailing ex-Barcelona, replicating last year’s sold-out journey with Virgin.
A number of NJT agents will also join the company’s charity trek along Peru’s Inca Trail, taking in Machu Picchu, which will raise funds for cancer research trust the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
"Just like cruising, we want to allow agents to focus on niche sectors that they are particularly interested in promoting," added Harrison. "Golf is another area where clients like to turn to a travel agent who has specific first-hand experience.
“Our members also massively enjoy these trips – it is one of the great reasons for being part of the travel industry."
