Qatar Airways has resumed services from Birmingham for the first time in three years.
The Gulf carrier announced on Thursday (6 July) that, throughout the summer, it will operate daily flights to and from Birmingham onboard its Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner, which has 254 seats – 22 of them in Business Class.
Services to Doha will depart on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 2.45pm while Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday flights will take off at 9am. Return flights will instead leave Qatar at 8.15am on Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays and at 2.20am on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays.
“Birmingham is one of the most exciting, vibrant and historic cities in the UK and we have long held a special affection for the people of this city and the Midlands region,” commented UKI country manager Gary Kershaw.
“As our fifth UK gateway, our return to Birmingham signals Qatar Airways’ strong commitment to the UK and reaffirms the positive relationship between the UK and Qatar.”
Qatar Airways’ return to Birmingham comes as part of the carrier’s post-pandemic expansion, including resumed services from Cardiff and Auckland.
