Qatar Tourism has refreshed its travel agent portal with a new interface design, updated content and enhanced training modules.
According to the board, the TAWASH training platform has been designed to offer an improved learning experience for the trade.
The upgraded programme functionality includes features such as interactive maps and knowledge check quizzes, alongside a new module structure to deliver an "agile learning solution".
Agents can receive a “Qatar Expert” certificate, which can be upgraded to “Qatar Specialist” through completion of additional elective options. Those who have already completed the former programme will automatically receive the “Qatar Expert” level.
The move comes after Qatar Tourism launched a new international multi-media advertising campaign in a bid to drive forward the country’s tourism goals.
According to the authority, the Experience a World Beyond advertising campaign reflects Qatar’s commitment to expanding its tourism proposition.
Qatar has reportedly welcomed more than 200,000 inbound travellers since the country’s borders reopened in July 2021.
A new website launched by Qatar Tourism is available in five languages and supported by a recently launched mobile app.
To drive growth in annual international arrivals, Qatar Tourism has also appointed travel representative agencies in the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Russia, China, India and the US.
