Rocky Mountaineer has reaffirmed its commitment to the travel trade with promotions to two key roles in its European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) team.
Steve Harris has been promoted to regional sales director EMEA with the Canadian rail operator, while Sarah Revell has been appointed business development manager EMEA.
Harris joined Rocky Mountaineer last spring from MSC Cruises and quickly rose to acting regional sales director. He has previously worked as a cruise specialist at Thomas Cook and managed a MyTravel store in the Midlands.
Revell, meanwhile, joined Rocky Mountaineer in January 2017 after working as business development manager at Club Med and at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler.
“Since joining the company, both [Harris and Revell] have shown enthusiasm, innovation and passion for Rocky Mountaineer,” said Karen Hardie, vice-president global sales.
“I’d also like to thank and congratulate the entire EMEA team, who have helped us go from strength to strength in this market and have helped us see double-digit growth year-on-year for 2019.”
Harris said he was keen to maintain momentum after “working hard” with the operator’s trade partners.
“We’ve had a great year in the EMEA market and I’ve worked hard with the sales team members and trade partners to ensure that business momentum continues. I look forward to seeing what the future holds.”
Revell added she was “looking forward to working with the many partners involved in Rocky Mountaineer”.
