Royal Caribbean is set to expand its charter programme out of Belfast City Airport with direct services to Barcelona and Bologna from next summer.
The cruise line has announced that travellers boarding the Oasis and Explorer of the Seas ships will have direct flights to Barcelona from 5 May to 22 September while services to Bologna will run between 18 May and 26 October.
Agents will however need to enquire with Royal Caribbean for return flights from Belfast. “These charters are possible thanks to the unbelievable trade support our previous charter programs have received,” said Jennifer Callister, Royal Caribbean’s head of sales Ireland.
“When you combine this with a fantastic partner like Belfast City Airport, expanding the program was a no-brainer and a sign of our commitment to creating the best family holiday possible.”
It comes as earlier last week Royal Caribbean announced it was expanding its charter programme also for Scotland with direct flights also from Glasgow.
