Finalists for the Top 50 Travel Agencies by TTG 2025 have been revealed.
The shortlisted high street branches across 11 regional categories will now be visited by members of the TTG team and their supplier co-judges early next year, while shortlisted companies in the eight nationwide categories will be interviewed over video calls.
The awards in association with Visit Malta, recognise the outstanding customer service, expertise and innovation of travel retailers in the UK and Ireland, and the 2025 ceremony will take place at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on Thursday 24 April.
There was particular success for Barrhead Travel with four high street branches on the regional shortlist and representation across four nationwide categories.
Hays Travel have three stores on the regional shortlist and will also contest two nationwide awards, meanwhile Designer Travel is competing to be named the Top Agency in the North West region and will also feature in four nationwide categories.
Shortlisting was conducted by an industry-spanning panel of suppliers, who each rated agencies they’d worked closely with in the past 12 months according to their sense of the agency’s expertise, service, workplace culture, innovation and business performance.
All agencies that registered to take part in Top 50 Travel Agencies 2025 by TTG will also receive an exclusive report shining a light on best practice and evolving trends in travel retail, based on anonymised data collected during judging.

New categories for 2025 include Homeworking Agency – Large (for companies comprising 80 home-based agents or more) and Homeworking Agency – Small (for agencies with 79 home-based agents or fewer), while Top River Cruise Agency also makes a return.
Marlborough’s Travel By Hannah was crowned the UK & Ireland’s No.1 Travel Agency during the Top 50 Travel Agencies by TTG 2024 ceremony in April.
Elsewhere, Newport’s La Vida Travel was named Top Travel Agency in Wales for a second year in succession, and also took home the award for Top Weddings and Honeymoons Agency. There was a double triumph too for Travel Counsellors, scooping Top Business Travel Agency and Top Luxury Agency.
Karen Simmonds, founder of London-based agency Travel Matters, was named the Intrepid Travel Sustainable Travel Champion of the Year, while another of the night’s special awards saw Thorne Travel managing director Shona Thorne receive this year’s Contribution to Travel award.
