Scotland has regained a direct air link with China with the resumption of a Hainan Airlines service.
The twice-weekly flight from Edinburgh to Beijing resumed today (26 June) and will run until 6 October.
The Airbus A330 flight will depart Edinburgh on Monday and Friday at midday, arriving 05.10 the next morning. The inbound flight leaves Beijing at 02.40, arriving 06.30.
Edinburgh airport chief executive Gordon Dewar said: “We’re excited to be reconnecting Scotland and China and deliver yet more destination and experience choices for our passengers.”
He added the service was “another signal of strength in Edinburgh as a destination for people across the world”.
