Silversea has unveiled images of new outdoor spaces on upcoming ship Silver Nova, which chief executive Roberto Martinoli has labelled a "unique take on luxury".
The line said the first vessel in its Nova series would offer an “unprecedented openness to the destination”.
New areas include The Pool Deck, The Marquee, which features alfresco dining, and sky bar The Dusk Bar, which offers 270-degree panoramic views.
Martinoli said Silver Nova represented “the next iteration of Silversea’s unique take on luxury” and added the new design approach would “enhance our guests’ cruise experience”.
"With its outward-facing, asymmetrical layout and its all-new outdoor venues, Silver Nova will offer our guests a brand-new way to connect and engage with each destination," he said.
The Pool Deck will accommodate 280 sunbeds while its main pool will be larger than any in the line’s fleet.
The Marquee will have capacity for up to 220 guests and will incorporate The Grill and Spaccanapoli, two of the line’s signature venues, into its menu.
The second of the two new food and drinks venues, The Dusk Bar will be open-air and provide space for up to 70 guests with panoramic views from the ship’s stern.
Floor-to-ceiling windows in the line’s signature La Terrazza restaurant, which will seat 340, will continue the "openness to the destination" theme inside, offering more panoramic views.
Silver Nova is also set to become Silversea’s first low-emissions cruise ship with advanced hybrid technology that utilises fuel cells, emitting zero emissions while in port, which the line claims is an industry first.
