Travellers seeking a tastebud-tingling trip will discover an array of foodie highlights in Greater Palm Springs (GPS). From trendy new openings to famed Michelin-recognised eateries, your clients can savour incredible dining without the lengthy queues and reservation lists often associated with culinary hotspots.

Set in southern California, GPS is an easy drive from Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas. Visitors can explore the destination’s nine cities of Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio and Coachella, each offering their own gastronomic highlights. And sunseekers can soak up more than 300 days of sunshine a year as they indulge in a flavour-filled break.

NEW ON THE SCENE

A raft of openings across GPS have caught the attention of gastronomes, including Grapefruit Basil at the newly opened Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells. The restaurant and bar offer guests and visitors a delectable all-day brunch, a lively happy hour and a creative, island-inspired dinner menu, which can be enjoyed on the pretty patio.

The new Alice B. restaurant can be found in the Living Out luxury apartment community, which is geared toward 55-and-older LGBTQ+ residents. Located near Downtown Palm Springs, visitors are welcomed by dishes combining southern California’s incredible seasonal bounty with Mediterranean flavours, served among mid-century modern decor and a rotating art gallery.

Another Downtown Palm Springs must-visit is Canopy Wine Lounge, where guests are enveloped by breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountains. This sophisticated and stylish venue offers wine tastings and wines by the glass and bottle, alongside tempting shared bites and sharing platters.

CLASSIC SPOTS

Across Palm Springs eight venues have been listed in the Michelin Guide, including Bar Cecil. It’s one of the hottest reservations in town, so recommend clients book in advance to enjoy the innovative cocktails and curated wine list. It was designed in homage to famed photographer and designer Cecil Beaton, and is ideal for a pre-dinner drink at the stylish bar or a multi-course meal in the sumptuous dining area.

The Michelin Guide has also recognised the dog-friendly bar and restaurant Boozehounds, which offers comfort food and cocktails. There’s a special menu for canine companions, while the stylish indoor space is just for people.

With panoramic views of the San Jacinto Mountains, the menu is inspired by local ingredients, with Mediterranean influences. While over in the heart of Old Town La Quinta, the popular DSRT Club aims to capture the glamour and style of classic vintage desert dining with its elegant interiors.

With so many delicious options across GPS, clients will be able to find their oasis as they wine and dine under the Californian sun.
