Thai Airways will reopen a link with Australia with the start of summer timetables.
The carrier, a Star Alliance member, plans to recommence a daily service between Bangkok and Perth from 31 March 2024.
The route will appeal to leisure and VFR passengers considering a stopover in Thailand.
Flights will depart Bangkok on Monday, Wednesday Friday and Sunday at 07.20, arriving 15.05 and on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 00.01, arriving 07.45.
Thai Airways will use a Boeing 787-8 with 256 seats, including 22 in Business Class.
Perth airport chief commercial and aviation officer Kate Holsgrove said: “The return of this service means tourists, students and businesses have the option of a non-stop connection to Bangkok, which will deliver a significant 186,368 seats and 14,000 tonnes of cargo capacity to the Perth market annually.
“Growing international seat capacity by securing non-stop services to international destinations has been, and continues to be, a priority for Perth Airport.”
