Thomas Cook has inked a deal with Inghams to offer the operator’s lakes and mountains product while also expanding its ski portfolio.
Starting this month, Cook will be able to offer a wide range of new European multi-centre tours, city breaks and ski trips via Inghams. These include Austrian hiking holidays, cycling trips to Lake Garda and opportunities to explore the French Alps, as well as Lapland breaks operated by Inghams sister brand Santa’s Lapland.
Cook will also be offering last-minute deals for summer 2022, and early booking incentives for summer 2023. Accommodation options span apartments, hotels and chalets in mountain villages, historic cities and beach locations, with Inghams packages offering a wide choice of regional departures and flights – as well as the services of in-resort reps.
The Cook brand, Britain’s oldest and most iconic travel brand, was acquired by Chinese’s Fosun Tourism Group following Cook’s collapse in September 2019. It was relaunched as an online travel agency a year later in September 2020, with Fosun promising greater integration with its other major travel brand Club Med. Club Med’s resorts have since been integrated onto Cook’s digital platform.
Jaime Thompson, Cook’s head of inventory and trading, said: “Thomas Cook is famous for its beach holidays and city breaks, and now as a purely digital holiday company we can offer a greater range of holidays than ever before. Our partnership with Inghams brings our customers access to one of the most popular providers of ski, lakes and mountains holidays and the ever-popular Lapland experiences at Christmas.”
John Mansell, Inghams chief operating officer, added he was delighted to support Cook in expanding its portfolio and the opportunity to collaborate.
