Travel Counsellors has bolstered its training and development offering for its franchisees with the appointment of experienced travel trainer Kristina Seed.
Seed, who started her career with Co-op Travel as an apprentice prior to its merger with Thomas Cook, brings more than 25 years’ travel industry experience to the role.
She held a variety of roles with Co-op and Cook before joining the agent and operator’s training team, during which time she worked on creating training programmes for the business.
Her work since 2019 with a training provider has seen her deploy her skills in high street agencies, as well as other sectors, to support coaches and review processes.
In her new learning and development executive role with Travel Counsellors, Seed will develop the homeworking firm’s training offering for new recruits, both those from an existing travel background and academy entrants.
"With her extensive experience and passion for training, she will significantly contribute to the development of our community of travel entrepreneurs," said Travel Counsellors’ director of franchise sales Matt Harding.
"Kristina’s expertise will be instrumental in the next phase of our growth plans as we continue to welcome an unprecedented level of new joiners to our community."
Seed added: "Developing people is my passion, and training is at the heart of everything I do, so I look forward to getting involved with our travel entrepreneurs by delivering quality training programmes that align with industry best practices and foster business growth."
Travel Counsellors’ ranks recently grew past the 2,000 mark globally after taking on more than 300 new travel businesses and franchisees last year.
