TTG has launched its latest Travel Agent Tracker to find out how Q4 2023 panned out for the trade and how agents feel about 2024 – and all agents are invited to share their experience and views.
As we enter the first three months of 2024, we want to know if your optimism for the year ahead is as strong as it was at the start of 2023, and what you see as the main barriers to trading performance.
As ever, we are also keen to hear how your business fared in the final quarter of the year (three months to 31 December 2023) for bookings, enquiries and the trends you saw in booking patterns as the year closed out.
The Q4 2023 Tracker is now live for agents to share their feedback on how things have panned out for their business by the end of the year – and to get some valuable insight into the state of the industry in return.
As always, the Tracker continues to monitor destination and sector-specific booking trends, how early or late customers are booking for their travel plans and which seasons are most in demand. Agents can also tell us about their dealing with their key suppliers and which ones have gone the extra mile to work with them.
All agents – high street, homeworking, online and call centre – across the UK and Ireland are invited to take part in the Tracker to share their experience. This quarter’s Tracker will remain open until the end of Friday 19 January 2024.
A look back though the TTG Travel Agent Tracker archives reveals at the end of 2022, despite lower levels of enquiries and bookings than previous months, more than three-quarters of agents were optimistic about the start of 2023.
Fast forward to Q1 2023, and despite price increases significantly topping the ranks of challenges faced by agents, bookings and enquiries were buoyantly up compared to 2022 and customer spending had increased. We’re keen to understand if you think that will be the case this year.
For Q4 2023 we’ve included a few new topical questions focusing on peaks and investment in marketing, sustainable travel and whether you as an agent are excited to be part of the travel industry in 2024.
TTG launched its Travel Agent Tracker in April 2020 at the height of the Covid pandemic, and has charted the agent sector’s rebound from the crisis across – to date – more than 70 surveys and reports.
